John Peel

John Peel's Dandelion Records

John Peel John Peel's Dandelion Records

Peel, the legendary UK radio broadcaster, started his own record label with business partner Clive Selwood in 1969. As Dandelion Records albums become more sought after and as they have been re-issued several times, this DVD tracks down some of the musicians who were fortunate enough to be on Peel's label and filmed their performances and listened to their stories. This DVD includes over 6 hours of material. Included are one of Kevin Coyne's last concerts and reunion with bandmates; Stack Waddy's 2007 reunion studio/rehearsals & interviews with 4 band members; Medicine Head - John Fiddler concert performances; Bridget St. John interview & concert; Tractor previously unreleased 70s footage plus recent rehearsals & concert outtakes; Sheila Ravenscroft talking about John's hamsters; Dave Clageu talking about Siren and Kevin Coyne; Gene Vincent's story of how he recorded an album for Dandelion; more.
