Wouldn’t It Be Great, is one of the most deeply personal projects of Loretta’s career. Originally scheduled to be released in August 2017, this album was put on hold as Loretta worked through recovering from a stroke she suffered in May 2017. Wouldn’t It Be Great communicates the hard truths and spiritual insights Loretta has gathered throughout her life and reflects the resilience that sustains her still.

Comprised entirely of songs written or co-written by Loretta, the album premieres new compositions (“Ruby’s Stool,” “Ain’t No Time To Go”) alongside select soulful reinterpretations of classics from her catalog. Wouldn’t It Be Great demonstrates Loretta’s enduring strength, both within herself and within the stories she shares in these songs.

This is the third release in the series of Cash Cabin recordings and like Full Circle and White Christmas Blue, was produced by John Carter Cash (son of Johnny Cash and June Carter Cash) and Patsy Lynn Russell (Loretta’s daughter).

Loretta Lynn is a living legend and an American treasure. She’s one of the most awarded musicians of all time and has been inducted into more music Halls of Fame than any other female recording artist. A self-taught singer, songwriter and performer, Loretta Lynn is the embodiment of American music, a singular artist whose music defined a genre and whose songs continue to inform new generations. Her last studio album, Full Circle, earned Loretta a Grammy nomination for Best Country Album.
