Paname Dandies

Le Swing De L'Escargot

Paname Dandies Le Swing De L'escargot

*Songs are in French* French band Paname Dandies is composed of Sammy Hassid (singer / guitar), ex- Paris subway singer; Fred Loizeau (guitar), reknowned for his long time collaboration with French star Sanseverino; Hervé Pouliquen (double bass), also from the Sanseverino team; Charly Doll (drums), musician for many famous artists like Céline Dion and Anggun and the tap dancer and singer "Philou" Nagau who worked for many musicals from Milan to London, member of "Blues de Paris" and "Harlem Swing" and actor. Paname Dandies is a band where everybody sings, everybody swings. This album offers a large but consistent musical universe, where the influences are as diverse as Charles Trenet, Boris Vian, Django Reinhardt, the taste great jazz orchestras like Ray Ventura, but also influences from Harlem the late 30's Harlem, Ellington, Slim & Slam, Jump and Lindy Hop. It is full of references to today, funny, sometimes surrealistic, acid, honestly nostalgic, but always swinging and poetic.
