Oppressor's brand of progressive/technical death metal paved the way in the mid to late 90's with 3 studio albums, a live album, and many compilations. Eventually some members formed Soil and continued with soil as a full time concern. Oppressor inspired bands such as God Forbid and Shadows Fall that are current mainstays in the extreme music scene. With Oppressor's albums being out of print for over 6 years and extremely hard to find, Mortal Music is proud to release the Oppressor anthology "The Solstice of Agony and Corrosion." This collection features 12 songs from their 3 studio albums, plus 2 bonus tracks (death metal covers of Motley Crue and Ozzy songs). The album has been completely re-mastered by Death/Thrash Metal guitar legend James Murphy, and also includes a bonus DVD of live footage and interviews, along with brand new packaging with never before seen artwork and photos. This is a must have for any fan of old school progressive Death Metal.
