Throughout the twelve-year history of TERROR, we have had many ups and downs, countless triumphs and setbacks. Through the years, and for better or worse, TERROR has gone through several record labels. In 2004 we linked up with Trustkill Records to release One With The Underdogs and in 2006 Always The Hard Way was also released by the label. Aside from those albums, Trustkill reissued Lowest Of The Low (originally on Bridge 9) in 2005 and also released a DVD called The Living Proof in 2006. Singer Scott Vogel says ôLooking back, Trustkill was pretty good to us. That was when records still sold and for how young of a band we were, Josh was really pushing TERROR. To be honest, we donÆt know the ins and outs of what happened. But in the end, Trustkill Records folded and with that, some of our best records went out of press. They have been off the radar for many years. With the help of some friends, and after some strings being pulled, TERROR has for the rights back for all of these releases.ö Instead of looking for a label to release them, we are going to do this ourselves. We have the knowledge and the drive, and most importantly, the spirit to get the records out again. Defiant Music is born, our own label and with the help of Reaper Records, handling the distribution of the albums. The records will be available worldwide. All three CDs come with bonus material and new artwork. Be on the lookout, lots of ideas on the horizon. TERROR hunkered down at Planet Z Studios in Massachusetts to record their second full-length, Always The Hard Way, with producer Zeuss (HATEBREED, SHADOWS FALL, THROWDOWN). Flying in during a record snowstorm, the band managed to bring in a slew of amazing guest vocalists who braved the ice to appear. Eddie Sutton from LEEWAY, Aaron from DEATH THREAT and even hip hop greats emcee MURS and MR. DIBBS (ATMOSPHEREÆs DJ) add their talents to the release. Those surprised by the inclusion of hip hop in TERRORÆs brand of hardcore should know that Vogel is a huge hip hop fan and even sports a GANGSTARR tattoo on his arm, which is near the back piece he has of LEEWAYÆs first album Born To Expire.
