OYL's first release, The Sound Of A Broken World, was a tremendous success for the band, pushing them to new heights! They have been touring the US and Canada relentlessly promoting the record, supporting bands such as Texas In July, Like Moths To Flames, Ice Nine Kills, Our Last Night, + many more, but are now ready to share new material with the world! “The new record is everything we wanted it to be. We learned a lot from touring with great bands, and feel that we’ve really been able to revisit our influences and create something that fully envelopes the direction we believe OYL should be heading musically,” says guitarist and chief songwriter, Max Getz. The band spent a month at Planet Red Studios in Richmond, VA with producer Andreas Magnusson (Impending Doom, Fit for a King, This or the Apocalypse) crafting a ten-track record full of melody, despair, and the ever-eclectic heaviness that brought them to where they are today.
