In June 2013, Sepultura entered the studio in Venice, California with renowned producer Ross Robinson and co-producer Steve Evetts to record the band's 7th studio album. Inspired by Austrian filmmaker Fritz Lang's classic 1927 film Metropolis, the band leans heavily on the strength of their thrash metal influences to make a statement against the dehumanizing effects of technology. The album also addresses the chaotic aftermath of natural disasters, the unfulfilled promises of religion, and the still-widening divide and unbridgeable gap between pampered citizens who live in decadent luxury and the working poor who withstand unbearable living and working conditions to simply survive. Dave Lombardo makes a guest appearance. The DVD includes the making of the album. The CD has 10 tracks.
